Ranching at Rancho Colorado del Norte continues today with the management of livestock and horses. Currently, our livestock is “Brangus Cattle” a cross-breed of “Brahma” and “Brangus” stock. The noted ‘Squirrel Creek Ranch” in S.W. Medina County produces some of the finest “Brangus” and is where our herd originated. We are proud of our two-thousand-pound Bull named “Blacky”. The breeding heifers are all “Brangus” and from the same ranch. In the near future, we hope to expand our small herd to thirty-two.

Our roof-covered cattle pens feature feeding troughs, water, and electricity. Along, with multiple doors and handling chutes.

In addition to our cattle, we presently own eight (8) registered roan-colored quarter horses. Quarter-horses are known for their speed, agility and are high-spirited. There are six mature mares and two fillies which almost all sport white face markings and socks and are the beginning of our riding and breeding program.

Also, we are finishing new horse stables that will initially feature eight covered stalls with water and lighting. Also, a Tack Room for saddles and ropes and supply storage is underway.

Rounding out our facilities are hay barns and storage for supplemental feed along with tractors and other equipment for operations.
