Under our farming commitments, we have dedicated to developing a portion of our efforts to develop a Grape Arbor. We have chosen to begin with Merlo, Chenin Blanc, and Concord grape cuttings. We have also implemented a “Kniffen Four Cordon System” of grape production. Although all varieties have produced, we feel the strongest and best selection will be the Chenin Blanc white grapes. We believe our native soil has allowed the white grape to be the hardiest and most bountiful of the three vinifera. Therefore, we will concentrate our future plantings with Chenin Blanc cuttings.
